Designed for the ambitious skier and racers. The High Speed category is the 2nd category in the Pro System and is made with a high degree of quality raw materials, giving the High Speed greater durability and performance than the Performance Speed category. The High-Speed category was created for the avid skier or rider looking for ultra-performance and durability for a hard day on the snow. The category is often used for junior racing, High School racing, and casual competitions.
This wax line is part of Swix's fluoro-free racing glide wax system and is based on new raw materials conforming to a global sustainability strategy. Environmentally friendly and fit for racing and performance-oriented training. They follow the traditional color and number logic for wax selection.
This category also has 5 waxes, to cover all temperature ranges from -10C - +10C. These waxes should be ironed-on scraped and brushed.
- HS05 TURQUOISE -10°C TO -18°C (14°F TO 0°F):
HS5 is the hardest glide wax in the High Speed series. High Speed (HS) is specially developed for younger racers and the ambitious leisure skier. All waxes in this series have high performance and good durability. This makes them an affordable option for both competition and training. HS5 is an excellent choice for cold conditions due to its superior durability and dry friction properties. Despite being a wax for cold conditions, its melting point makes it easier to apply than many similar waxes in this area, without compromising its glide properties. For fresh snow, transformed snow and artificial snow.
- HS06 BLUE -6°C TO -12°C (21°F TO 10°F):
PS6 is a very versatile glide wax. The area of application ranges from being a base wax for racing products to a racing wax by itself, and as a base-prep wax for cold skis. PS6 has good durability and provides excellent glide on both natural and artificial snow. PS6 can be used as a racing wax alone or as a base wax for final wax layers.
- HS07 VIOLET -2°C TO -8°C (28°F TO 18°F):
PS7 is a wax that works well in normal winter conditions, below freezing. The hardness makes it easier to work with and it is easier to get a good end result. PS7 is a very good ski trip and training wax as well as a good all-round base prep wax.
- HS08 RED -4°C TO +4°C (25°F TO 39°F):
HS8 is a popular glide wax for both base preparation and training. High Speed (HS) is specially developed for younger racers and the ambitious leisure skier. All waxes in this series have high performance and good durability. This makes them an affordable option for both competition and training. HS8 is easy to melt and very convenient to work with. It is equally suited for both training and racing.
- HS10 YELLOW 0°C TO +10°C (32°F TO 50°F):
HS10 is a glide wax that is ideal in warm conditions such as those that are often encountered at the end of the season. High Speed (HS) is specially developed for younger racers and the ambitious leisure skier. All glide waxes in this series have high performance and good durability. This makes them an affordable option for both competition and training. HS10 is a good wax for base preparation, but also a great training and racing wax. The wax is easy to melt and very easy to work with. HS10 is a relatively soft wax and will not have the same durability as a harder glide wax. Therefore, we recommend melting in a harder wax as a base and then applying HS10 on top.
